About
Nature's Own Photography is the dream project of Donna Armagost and Tanya Wilson of Spring, Texas. Photography has been a hobby for both of these ladies all of their lives but the desire to do this full-time has grown over the last several years. After doing weddings, church functions, birthday parties, and other events for friends they felt that it was time to take it even further. Using their love for photography, their love for people, and their experiences to help capture the beauty that God has created in every living creature it was decided to give those gifts to those who would love them as much as they do. Together their gifts and talents complement each other to make a well-rounded photography and technology team to get you the best photos at reasonable prices.
Donna Armagost
Donna Armagost is a mother of two wonderful children, Jonathan (23) and Ashley (14). In May 2011 she became a first time grandma to Kaylee Marie. Donna has lived in and around the Magnolia/Spring area all of her life and loves the small town feel without the small town struggles. Donna worked for the same company in Spring for almost 19 years until the company closed in 2010 and she has found a job in the hospitality industry in The Woodlands. Currently attending the Art Institute online to obtain her Bachelor's in photography, Donna's love for photography is shown in her passion for it. She feels her strongest photographic styles are in the candid shots of people milling around or in everyday activities and settings. Capturing people in their natural, everyday activities, lead to casual and "real" photos. Her idea of an adult play day is going and taking nature photos, flowers, sunsets, animals, or landscapes of all sorts. It is not unusual to see her pulled over on the side of the road with camera in hand because of a sunset, a flower, or just because the mood strikes to take a picture. She jokes about putting a sign on the back of the car "CAUTION, this car stops for photo ops!"
Tanya Wilson
Tanya Wilson is single and lives in Spring, TX. Along with being a part of Nature's Own Photography she also is the owner and operator of TLW Web Design. Tanya has struggled with some severe health issues since 1998 and one of the side affects is that she is now legally blind but that has not hindered her love and ability to do photography. While you may see her wearing a hat and sunglasses indoors or outdoors, her eye for setting up staged shots, getting people placed, administering the business side of things, and taking care of the computer and web parts of Nature's Own has not been hindered. A native Houstonian she has lived in and around the Houston area all but 1 1/2 years of her life. That year and a half was her one attempt to spread her wings but quickly discovered that you can take a Texan out of Texas but you can't take her out for long! Tanya's unwinding comes when she can get away and take livestock, insect, floral, and landscape photos. If there is a bug that will stay put long enough, she is going to do her best to get a picture of them.
Ashley Majorwitz
Donna's daughter, Ashley, has joined the ranks as "Photographer in Training" with Nature's Own. Ashley has a great eye for a good shot but is still learning many of the techniques. As a member of the Nature's Own family she often does more of the "gopher" work during photo shoots but you may see her with her own camera taking a few shots herself. As a typical teen, Ashley loves to hang out with her friends, watch TV, listen to music, and all around have fun.
